Enjoy this scenic summer run/walk with friends and family! This 3.1 mile course travels on a mix of trails and paved roads through Newcastle parks and byways. The route starts and finishes at Lake Boren Park. After the race, stay and enjoy refreshments, a kids dash, services from our sponsors and more. Come back to the park with your family and celebrate Newcastle Days in the afternoon!

General Registration: now - September 9 (noon) $25 individual / $20 ea. group of 4+
Race Day Registration: September 10 (before 8:00 am) $30 individual / $25 ea. group of 4+

In-Store Registration:
Now at The Balanced Athlete! (Also available at Footzone stores in Issaquah and Bellevue.


Online Registration:
Register online at www.active.com. Online registration closes at noon on Friday, September 9th.


Register by Mail:
Registration form and payment must be postmarked by Saturday, September 3. Register using the entry form.


Register in Person:
Race Day registration is available at Lake Boren Park from 6:30 am - 8:00 am on September 10th.

 

 
 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The event will start in Lake Boren Park and head slightly uphill and south onto a wide trail. The trail intersects with SE 89th Place where it turns west, adjacent to May Creek Park, following the road as it meanders to a hairpin curve (at 124th Ave SE). From here it enters May Creek Park and follows a trail through the woods until it intersects again with SE 89th Place and follows the original trail back to Lake Boren Park.

Awards will be awarded to the Top 3 Women finishers and Top 3 Men finishers in each of the following categories:

60 & Over

PACKET PICK-UP AND 5K RUN DAY
Bib numbers and packets will be available for pickup on the Newcastle Days 5K Run Day, September 10, from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
The 5K run will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. The course will close at 10 a.m. Post-event festivities will be held from event start
until approximately 11 a.m.
